Hometown
Wee little town with hearts of gold
Wee little fire of mine started out there
Tended by very few, took on some heat and size
Took it as I went, time went on too fast
Oh so beautiful my town
Open grass in all directions
One big mountain to the north
One big mountain to the south
Oh so beautiful my town
The people are friendly and kind
Traffic? I’ve never been in one when I was in my town
Toddlers playing outside their homes with no worries
Oh so beautiful scene to watch and be a part of
There’s a temple at the north edge
Take your offerings there and spin the wheels
Take your hat off when you enter
Take a bow when you leave there
North of that is a forest
Where you can camp with a little fire
Wild berries and wild birdies
Napping is the beeeest out there
I heard it’s not so small anymore
I haven’t been back since that very day
Oh so beautiful my town
Owe my childhood to that land
Tangled in these adventures I took
Time keeps passing by unnoticed
Take it slow as I keep on
Taming this beast of mine inside
Learn what I want, learn what I can
Leave out all the rest I don’t want things
Love with how I can the people I meet
Left with no regret in my soul
Life just keeps on going as usual
Learning to keep in flow of things
Lone roads and more roads that meet up
Leave out all the rest I hope you have memories of me
Might not be done with this journey
When it’s time I’ll go back to my town
May not be soon as I thought
When it’s time it will be THE TIME!
Might not be the best thing to wish for
I’ll put out this fire where it was made
Making sure I keep it bright for now
I’ll take it where it belongs
Oh so beautiful my town
Everything is pristine and precious out there
Oh so beautiful my town
Erdenet is where I was born to this world!
